Providing a Unique Camp Experience for Adults with Complex Disabilities

Aptus re-established its popular adult summer camp program in 2013. At Camp Jordan, adults with disabilities are provided with the unique opportunity of enjoying a relaxing week away from the city where they learn about and experience the great outdoors.

Our staff have witnessed first hand, the therapeutic, enjoyable and beneficial impact that Camp Jordan has on the lives of the people we support. The camp enhances their health and wellness, bolsters their self-confidence and increases their overall happiness, while it provides the perfect opportunity for participants to unwind.

Our vision for the future is for Camp Jordan to not only welcome the adults that Aptus supports, but also individuals from the community with complex disabilities.

Camp Jordan was created in memory of Jordan Goldstein, a wonderful person who attended Aptus’ Adult Day Program and lived in one of Aptus' residential homes.  Sadly, Jordan passed away from leukemia in 2012.
